Hello In Stitches family!
I know that it’s just the first week of August, but I hate to tell you that it’s almost time to go back to school.
I know, I know! I’m not ready either. But ready or not, let’s talk about back to school traditions.
Do you have any first day of school traditions? Here are a few that we’ve heard of:
1 Taking a picture of your student with something that will show them how much they’ve grown over the year.
2 Our blog writer Ashley (hi!), has her son hold a picture of the last year’s first day, that has the last first day, etc, etc. It’s easier to show a picture:
It’s going to be fun to see him when he graduates!
3 Take a picture of them with their school sign.
4 Have a shirt made in the size you think they’ll be when they’re 18 and have them wear it every year on the first day. Here are a couple we’ve done for clients.
5 Or, another favorite, get ice cream after the first day.
What do you do, or did do, for your first day of school?
Ok, now that we’ve gotten the first day fun, let’s talk about other things you can do to get ready for the school year.
You can get your kid’s school supplies. Here are some helpful lists for you. One is from our area, Box Elder County in South Dakota, and the other is more generalized.
With the start of school, comes fall sports. Are you in charge of getting the gear for your team and supporters? We can help you with that. Webstores make the whole process so much easier. Take a look at this blog post about webstores as we show you some of the gear we’ve created.
Or, how about some Spirit Gear? Stickers, t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, we’ve done it all! Let us know if you’d like some Spirit Gear for your favorite school.
So, are you ready for school to start? Let us know how we can help you!
Have a great week!
