Keeping up with the Customers

Hey In Stitches Family!

How are things going where you are? Is the weather getting cooler? Are you kids back in school?

Around here, the summer rush is over and the fall rush has begun! (Thank you so much for that!) So, we’ve been talking about some strategies on how to keep up with our customers. And since we know that most of you are also business owners, we thought we’d share!

How do we keep our businesses top of mind with our customers?

In today’s world, Social Media is the way to go! Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, even Pinterest, are great ways to keep your business at the top of your customer’s minds.

Don’t know how to get social media presence? Here’s some steps for you.

Step 1: Choose which platform you want to focus on.

You don’t have to come out of the gate with every single platform working its best! Start with one and see if you want to add more.

How do you choose which platform to focus on? Well, where are your target customers? If you create things, we would suggest Instagram because it is based around pictures. If you have a service based business, then go to LinkedIn and share some amazing content.

Step 2: Create, or buy, some social media templates and share some knowledge.

If you are techy, the Canva will be your best friend for creating social media. You can search for templates to use for just about anything!

If you’re not techy, pay someone who is for their designs. You can find social media templates on Etsy or Creative Marketplace.

Step 3: BE CONSISTENT

This is the one that you need to remember. Don’t want to create Reels, that’s fine, but DO post the same day each week. Algorithms LOVE consistency so they will push your things up to the top.

Step 4: Hire help

If you still are looking at the screen with a dumbfounded expression, then we suggest hiring someone. If you need some suggestions, just let us know!

Keep your brand at the top of customer’s minds by giving out or selling branded merchandise. (This is where we come in) Hats, shirts, jackets, stickers, bags, all of them are great ways to both advertise your business AND keep your customers coming back.

Take a look at some of the things we’ve made for our customers:

branding

It costs much less to keep a customer than it does to get a new customer, so once you have them, follow up with them! And the best way to do that is through emailed newsletters! Just think about it. These customers, much like you, came to you for something they felt was important. So, why not let them know what else you can do. Or remind them why they came to you in the first place.

Again, if this seems overwhelming – hire someone! We did (hey there! I’m Ashley 😉)

Blogs are another great way to both keep your current customers and get some more. Google loves to see CONSISTENCY and HIGH QUALITY content so if you’re posting weekly, or more, Google will notice that and get your name in front of more people.

The last suggestion we have for you today is no matter what you do, find some way to track it so you will know what YOUR people want to see more of.

What else would you add to the list?
