Hello In Stitches Family!
Have you felt it in the wind? Winter is coming. In fact, it’s come to South Dakota – we had quite the storm this week!
But with winter comes Holiday Parties! Whether you’re getting together with friends and family, adults only, or you’re the class mom and need to come up with a fun activity, we have some great ideas for you!
Anyway, some good holiday party ideas!
Let’s talk about a Favorite Things party! That’s where everyone brings their favorite thing to share with everyone else. That can be food or gifts or just fun things that you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without! You could also make a white elephant gift exchange out of it.
For those adult only parties, it could be fun to play a few games, don’t you think? And we can help you with that! We have this dice holder, card holder, and poker chip holder for your gaming needs. Each one is personalized using our laser engraver so we can put whatever you want on them! (These also make great gifts!)
For the family parties, set up a Christmas cookie decorating station. With cookies, frosting and sprinkles, even the big kids will love this idea!
If you’re looking for a fun family tradition, why not have a Christmas movie night. Put on your Christmas jammies (is that a thing in your house?), eat some candy and drink some hot chocolate while you watch the Christmas classics like A Christmas Story, Elf, or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. (Ok, ok, and It’s a Wonderful Life would be an acceptable answer as well.)
Are you in charge of the annual Office Party and need some prizes? We have some great ideas. Just check out this blog post on some prize ideas. Then let us know what we can do for you!
If you’re looking for a fun party for the kids, we have these t-shirt kits that they will love! Each kit contains a t-shirt with your choice of one of our four designs and fabric markers to color on them. Fun right? If you are looking to do this for a group or class, just let us know and we’ll make you a deal!
Since the holidays are all about food, why not celebrate Brunchmas. That’s right, brunch isn’t just for Sundays anymore. This non-traditional Christmas party would be so fun with your favorite brunch items ready to go. Let everyone come in their jammies and you have a party going on!
Last but certainly not least, get together with your friends and family and have the kids put on a Nativity program. I don’t know about you but I have fond memories of doing this as a child. You can order costumes on Amazon or just use your dad’s robe for the wisemen like we used to do. Either way, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate this time of year.
We love Christmas around here so we want to wish you Happy Holidays!
(Let us know your favorite Christmas movie. We need some new ones!)
