Hello In Stitches family! As you remember, last year we celebrated 10 years in business. And we’ve learned a thing or two in that time. Today we want to take a look at jacket backs and all that goes into your finished product. Let us share with you our expertise!
When you think about jackets, do you think about The Fonz with his leather jacket and cool attitude? (Does that date us a little?) Or maybe you think of those great rodeo jackets that you see when you go to an event. I’m sure you’ve never even thought about how much goes into those jackets, but let us give you a quick rundown of what we think about when we embroider your jacket.
First, we think of placement. On jackets, there are seams that can distort the design and make it uncomfortable to wear.
We think about the cut of the jacket. Oftentimes ladies cut jackets are more form fitting, which requires us to adjust the design to suit.
We think about the type of jacket it is. Heavier jackets require different embroidery hoops. If the jacket is multi-layer, we embroider on the outer shell so it will be more comfortable to wear. If the jacket is waterproof, we can add a heat sealer to it so that it will remain waterproof even with the design.
We think about if the jacket has a hood. If it does, we change the placement of the design so it can be seen even when the hood is down.
And lastly, when we are embroidering on heavy fireproof jackets, we have a fireproof thread that we use to ensure that the whole jacket remains fireproof.
We would love to share our expertise with you and design an amazing jacket back for you! Send us a message and lets talk!
