Hello In Stitches Family!
You might not be surprised that we see a lot of logos in our business. We see (and design) ones that work for anything the clients want them for, and we see ones that don’t.
So let us share with you 4 tips for your logo design.
Tip #1 – Keep it Simple!
A great logo should be simple enough to be memorable! Like if I say a silver apple, you all know what logo that is. Don’t overcrowd your design with fancy words or fonts. Keep it simple and iconic so people remember it.
Tip #2 – Keep in mind your brand’s personality!
A logo should capture the essence and personality of the brand it represents. Consider the brand’s values, target audience, and overall image when designing the logo. Whether it’s playful, professional, modern, or traditional, ensure that the logo aligns with your brand’s identity.
Tip #3 – Keep it versatile!
Logos are used in a lot of different ways nowadays. From a huge billboard, down to a sticker, your logo should be able to look good at any size. Plus don’t forget that sometimes it will need to be black and white.
Tip #4 – Keep the colors and fonts simple!
Colors and fonts are so important when creating your brand. Often people choose unreadable fonts – even though you can read it – in an effort to look fancy. Please don’t do this! Keep the fonts easy to read so that people know what you do!
Similar to fonts, keep your logo colors consistent with your brand and mood of your company. Think about your target audience and choose colors that would appeal to them.
A great way to find brand colors and fonts is on Pinterest. Just type in a couple of colors that you like and you will find a TON of color palettes. Similarly, fonts are easily searchable there too!

This leather patch is just 3 inches in diameter, but it still is readable and recognizable.
This patch would be great on a hat at 3-½” wide and 2-½” tall. Notice how readable the fonts are.
Even from a distance, you can see what these logos say!
