Hello In Stitches Family!
Tell us, do you need a logo for your business?
A while ago, we talked about how logos evolved from brands, which is still an interesting journey. But the answer to this question is, yes, you do need a logo for your business. Logos get in people’s heads. If I describe a big yellow M, you probably know that it’s the logo for McDonald’s. So, how do you create a logo?
Here are 6 tips:
1) Keep it simple: A simple logo design will work well across all mediums. Avoid using too many colors or intricate details that may not translate well when scaled down or embroidered onto clothing.
2) Consider the color palette: Make sure the colors you choose work well in both print and digital formats. It’s also important to consider the colors in the context of the apparel or product they will be printed on. Our logo colors represent our family – Wayne loves green, Mike loves blue, and Wendy loves red.
3) Use vector graphics: Create your logo as a vector graphic so that it can be scaled up or down without losing quality. This is especially important for print and apparel, as you want your logo to look sharp and clear.
4) Consider the font: Choose a font that is easy to read and works well at different sizes. Avoid using overly stylized or trendy fonts that may not age well.
5) Test it out: Before finalizing your logo design, test it out in different formats and on different products to make sure it works well across all mediums. This will help you identify any potential issues and make adjustments as needed.
6) Get feedback: Finally, don’t be afraid to get feedback from others. Show your logo design to colleagues, friends, and family to get their thoughts and opinions. This can help you identify any potential issues and make improvements before finalizing your design.
And here’s our bonus tip: keep in mind that your logo will be used in different mediums such as print, digital, and apparel. Your logo will be used in different ways so it needs to stay recognizable.
Here is our logo:
We created a bunch of different logos and had our customers vote on their favorite. The funny thing is, this isn’t the one Mike or Wendy picked, but we love the result.
So, do you need a logo? We can help you with that.
Does your logo need revamping? This is one of Mike’s favorite things to do so let us know!
Have a great week!
